Problem —
Integrate user-centered principles into Google Store’s Product Detail page structure to increase CTR and encourage page continuity.
Context —
• Org goal to streamline page-building processes to increase launch
velocity and optimize page performance
• My team was not a stakeholder in developing top-funnel page
strategy until this project
Outcomes —
⭐️ Increased CTR and Scroll-through rate for 22’ Product pages
⭐️ New, critical alignment amongst siloed XFN teams
⭐️ A scalable page framework informing future product launches
⭐️ Increased internal workflow efficiency among XFN teams
Product Strategy —
Conceived possible solutions including, content strategy, page structure proposals, and content guidelines
UX Design —
Focused on a new, general uninformed target user instead of multiple users with different purchase mindsets
Process Highlight —
Independently explored new design solutions for all page modules
Deliverables —
These modules were delivered and prioritized for the initial launch
PDP Vision prototype
I used this “Vision” This Vision helped guide the overall directions for the PDP, helping to illustrate how the page could be optimized when user-centered principle, heuristics, and reusable modules are implemented.
Delivered modules in Context
In total, the Spring 2022 NPI launch utilized this refreshed PDP and these optimized modules for the Pixel 6a phone, Pixel Buds Pro, Pixel Watch, and Google Chromecast 4K product releases.
